At a time when student journalists have been tasked with reporting from the frontlines of nationwide protests, it is terrifying to see the tensions escalate into violence. Student journalism is essential in order to report timely and accurate information about protests, especially when external news outlets have been prohibited from entering some university grounds.

Imagine if the United Automobile Workers, or UAW, could put its massive strike fund and political clout at the service of stopping the genocide. We need to take the concrete step of supporting reformers across UAW 4811 in the triennial elections taking place from May 2 to May 3.

As we transition from our Berkeley lifestyles to our hometown lifestyles, we tend to fall out of our routines that keep us in shape for UC Berkeley’s rigor. But not this year. Here are the habits I have at school that I’m implementing into my home routine to keep me in check.

Together, the three of us match each other’s whimsy, and around them, everything feels a little more lighthearted and carefree. So, to honor our friendship, our fleeting youth and our soon-to-be-eventful presence in Berkeley, we’ve compiled a summer bucket list to complete — and my favorite items are listed below. 

Returning to your home after a semester living on your own is always an odd feeling. I often feel ghostly, tucking myself into the warmth of my high school sheets, surrounded by film pictures and mementos of a version of myself I find dissipating.
