Only moments after leaving Sydney Harbor upon our Discovery cruise we were greeted with a thrilling sight of highly energetic humpback whales!
Even a day like today, no matter the conditions - they'll be out there.
Over the season we expect to see around 40,000 humpback whales migrating north and already the number of whale pods we've spotted are increasing over just days.
We witnessed a magnificent show aboard our Discovery cruise today! We're seeing lots of activity on the Tasman Sea and expect much more as we move further into peak migration season of humpback whales.
It wasn't a long search until we were treated with multiple pods of humpbacks showing us they're immense size and power with breaches, tail slaps and pectoral slapping, there's nothing else quite like that sound
Quite the show this afternoon, after seeing some breaching from straight out of the heads, we stuck with a pair of whales we assume was a juvenile and mother. 'Spotty' the younger whale was being herded by mum when he or she kept coming close to the boat, then as we began to end our cruise, the action started again. A couple, of what seemed to be male whales, came close and while trying to empress the large female, started throwing their tails and splashing around whilst the whole group sped along towards their northern breeding grounds. ... A morning cruise doesn't get any better than that. A beautiful calm ride south, followed by a very inquisitive pod of dolphins. We then found a frenzy of activity as both the dolphins, and two pods of humpbacks swirled around what we can only guess was a large bait ball. One pod even surprised us by swimming directly under the boat. We witnessed lunge feeding from the whales and playfulness from the dolphins. As the activity died down, we had a calm relaxing ride north towards the heads, before the whales surprised us again with a single, spectacular breach! Even the local fishing boats got a close visit from our pod. ... See MoreSee Less

Two fantastic cruises again today, these whales numbers are really starting to pick up! We had breaches on both trips, including a synchronized show from two whales in the morning, followed by not 1, not 2, not 3, but 6 whales on the later cruise!
Come and join us soon as Whale Watching season gets into full swing! ... See MoreSee Less
These are the kind of trips that offer exciting experiences. So beautiful!
Best day ever i did this with family ❤❤❤
We doing this for our next date weekend Dayz T-Auelua
Wow so beautiful ❤️
Belinda Blissett we should do this
Took these photos (you need to zoom in!) from Manly - Spit Bridge walk today. When I looked at on laptop I couldn’t believe it was 2 whales in synchronised breach but you have confirmed it was just that. Thank you!
A day of head lunges and breaches for us today on our two express cruises. Both trips had encounters with lively juveniles and their mothers attempting to keep the young whales moving North. Although keeping a lively youngster entertained along the way cant be easy! Luckily for us it meant we were treated to fantastic displays and we'll be out again tomorrow to hopefully join our beautiful blubbery friends! ... See MoreSee Less

My experience was amazing I say Whales breaching it was fantastic. And the crew on the boat made my experiences a great and safe place to be.

Weather was a bit miserable, but the boat made it comfortable. The crew had their finger on the pulse out there and when whales were spotted by a sister boat, we were taken quickly to a perfect viewing spot. The whales repeatedly breached, including a double breach from the pair. We got great photos and finished the voyage pumped.

The boat, crew and overall experience was fabulous! Whales were promised and wow we were blown away, we can’t believe that we saw whales breaching and tail slapping so close we felt at times we could almost touch them. This crew have perfected the tour with an onboard Marine Biologist and happy, easygoing but safe attitude.

Once we got out of the Harbor, we started seeing whales. They were jumping and feeding and just cruising along side the boat!! The crew were all super friendly and helpful and kept the trip fun and interesting.

Whale Watching Sydney. Another excellent trip with lots of whales observed. If you book online suggest you tick the extra option for getting the professional photos. Good commentary on what you are seeing

Must to do with kids. Amazing experience with kids. Must to do if in Sydney. There is big difference watching whale compared to other animals as the shear size of whale and they move is magnificent.
